Fortaleza de Santa Cruz do Anhatomirim

 

 

Most of the ancient fortress has a magnificent panorama of the islands of Ratones, the Grove and Santa Catarina, and also the other fortresses. It has restaurant, cafeteria, marine aquarium and display of aquatic mammals.

 

History of Cruz e Sousa Museum Palace

 

 

Situated in the heart of the city, it was the old government palace. The indoor magnificent staircase with its balustrade and Carrara (Italian white marble) marble countertops causes impact. It had the construction started in the second half of the eighteenth century. Currently works as a museum.

 

Public Market

 

 

It is the heart of the historic center, where you can find the best fresh fish, bars, and restaurants. The location is ideal to enjoy special foods and exotic in a quite and relaxing atmosphere. Eventually, there are artistic presentations in the central courtyard. The building is listed by the council and it was inaugurated in 1899. In 1986 it has passed for a remarkable renovation.

 

Praça XV de Novembro

 

 

This square is the place where it started the construction of Florianopolis. It was forested during the nineteenth century and the star of all their trees is the Centennial Figueira (Fig Tree).
